Legacy in Every Stitch

For over a century, we have preserved the vanishing art of
custom cordwaining, building footwear that outlasts
generations.

OUR PROCESS

The Philosophy of Slow

In an age of instant gratification, we choose the deliberate
path. Each pair of The Bespoke Sole shoes represents
over 80 hours of meticulous human labor, a timeline that
cannot be hurried by machine or demand.

From the initial anatomical measurement—recording over
twenty distinct points of the foot—to the final hand-
burnishing of the welt, every movement is intentional. We
don’t just build shoes; we create sculptural extensions of
the wearer.

Julian Thorne

LEAD CLICKER

With forty years of experience, Julian possesses an intuitive ability to read the ‘soul’ of leather, selecting only
the finest hides and ensuring the grain is perfectly aligned
for maximum longevity.

Elias Vance

MASTER LAST-MAKER

Elias translates the abstract geometry of the human foot into a wooden form. His lasts are the foundation of our
comfort, blending medical precision with the elegance of
classical silhouette.

ESTABLISHED IN TRADITION

Designed to be Repaired, Not Replaced

Sustainability isn’t a buzzword for us; it is the inherent nature of our product. By utilizing Goodyear welt construction and the highest grade of ethically sourced leathers from European tanneries, we ensure that every shoe can be completely refurbished for a lifetime of service.
